Kaitalampi Open Water Challenge: PART 2

First week of Kaitalampi Open Water Challenge is done and cleared. I was able to do 4 swim workouts and one surf for the week and yardage per workout was around 2500-3000. Mainsets for the workouts were mostly hundreds and twos, either 5-6x100 and/or 4-10x 200. I’ve been working on making my distance pace as efficient as possible and I’ve trying to find an optimal cadence for my stroke. Average pace for my distance swimming is around 1:05/100 yards so that’s a pretty good pace. I just need to make it consistent to be able to keep that up through the 10 k’s.
